Preventative Care

Medicare covers an IPPE ( Initial Preventative Physical Exam) to medicare beneficiaries once during the first year, or 12 months of enrollment in the Medicare program at no cost to the beneficiary. They will cover an AWV ( Annual Wellness Visit) to members who are no longer within the 12 months after the effective date of their first Medicare Part B coverage period: and who have not gotten either an IPPE or AWV within the past 12 months. It must be at least 11 full months after the IPPE or most recent AWV.

In-House X-ray services

At Trophy Club Family Medicine we perform diagnostic radiology procedures on chest, abdomen and extremities. We are not equipped to perform any IV Contrast X-ray’s , CT’s or MRI’s or other special studies. We will be glad to refer you out for those services should the need arise.

Sclerotherapy, A Minimally Invasive Procedure

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure used to eliminate varicose veins. This treatment involves injecting a salt solution directly into the varicose vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together.

If you have small varicose veins or spider veins, a simple sclerotherapy procedure can be done in office and you can usually expect to see definitive results in three to six weeks. However, if you are faced with larger veins, this same procedure can be successful but may require three to four months before you see the results you want. Multiple treatments may be needed.

In-house Laboratory services

At Trophy Club Family Medicine we offer same day testing for Rapid Strep, Rapid Flu Testing, Glucose Testing, Urinalysis, Mono Testing, Micro-albumin Creatinine, Pregnancy Test, Urine Drug Testing, and Fecal Occult Blood Testing.

For your convenience a Quest Laboratory phlebotomist is in the house to draw your labs and send them to an outside laboratory. Usually, your results are back in 2 business days. Your provider will review your labs and send you a secure message through the patient portal with your results and any recommendations.
